Finns are surrounded by water, in seas and lakes. Mostly water has a calming effect, but sometimes it can be a bit scary as well. This aattu.tv special takes us on an ambient journey to Leppävesi lake and Saunalahti bay accompanied by Karoliina Salminen's music.
We participated Metafest - Metacafe’s Short Film Festival 2008 with our aattu.tv special episode from last year. It seemed to fit nicely to the global competition, with no speech and no text, just music and images. Hopefully our submission finds a responsive audience. Unfortunately Ambient Water Views didn't get thru the touch Metafest this time. In his email to us the orgnizer said: "We regret to inform you that the judges decided to not include your work in MetaFest, as it simply did not fit the curatorial aesthetic they were looking for this year."
According to the email there we more than 750 submissions this year, and only 26 works were accepted for the online festival and 16 works for the offline festival.
So, maybe next year, then.
